About Us
The Eksik 30 Guest House is functioning as part of the Hospitality Ministry of Operation Mobilisation (OM) in Kimberley.
Short History: ProChristo Global Mission (PGM) was founded in 1995 to take the good news about Jesus Christ to people that have not had the opportunity to hear it even once. Recently PGM and OM amalgamated to fulfil this goal in a more effective manner, since PGM has had a long-standing relationship with OM.
Operation Mobilisation is an Evangelical Christian organization founded by George Verwer to mobilise young people to live and share the Gospel of Jesus. OM, as it is known, started in Mexico and had spread to Europe and India by 1963. OM currently has more than 5,400 people working in more than 110 countries around the world, seeking to "demonstrate and proclaim the love of God."
In every situation OM teams attempt to adapt to the local culture and situation, endeavouring to find the best ways to share the Gospel using literature, the creative arts, friendship, Bible studies, video and cassette tapes, correspondence courses, relief
and development work as well as other methods. The people working for Operation Mobilisation tell people how their lives have been changed and how others can also come to "personal faith in God through Christ."
Wherever possible, Operation Mobilisation works in partnership with the local church, encouraging and supporting local communities. Where there is no church they seek to establish one. All the OM staff are voluntary workers who dedicate their lives to this endeavour.
The name Eksik 30 is the Turkish for Minus 30 because we have the aim of diminishing the number of the most unreached people groups by 30 in the next five years. It is wonderful to serve the kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ through providing in the need of travellers coming to Kimberley. We have had international visitors from Nigeria, Ghana, Korea and the USA, but mostly we serve the South African public.
